Beginner horse camp for ages 6yrs old to 10 yrs old.

Camp will meet at the office of the second barn at 444 St. brides Road W., Chesapeake Va

Camp is $600 per participant. Camp must be prepaid in full and is non refundable. Campers must provide their own packed lunch, snacks and plenty of water and drinks for each day. Campers are dropped off at 9 am and picked up at 4 pm.

Summer camp is a hands on class that develops safe and fun relationships between horse and handler. This class promotes a well rounded learning experience. Each participant will be encouraged to strive to their best. Equestrian WISH requires participants to pay attention and follow directions. Camp teaches many aspects of true horsemanship, including equine psychology and communication, anatomy, health and over all care of horse, tack and farm.

Camp students must come dressed for the weather and prepared to get dirty. Boots with a small heal are required. Equestrian WISH has shared helmets. Camp continues rain or shine. Please send campers with a change of clothing and comfortable shoes for non riding play time.

Equestrian WISH often shares photo's, video's and other images to keep our community connected and engaged through our facebook page. By participating in these classes I understand that Equestrian wish has all copy rights of the images captured during class time, and I wave my right to any compensation for images posted of my child and family.

By registering for this camp, I understand that working with horses is a physical activity that involves potentially serious risks of injuries or death to their participants and observers. I understand I, or my minor child(ren) may be injured or die through no fault of myself or anyone else, because of the nature of the activity in which I am going to be engaged. I also understand that horses, even the most well-trained, are often unpredictable and are often difficult to control.

notice of the provisions of the Equine Activity Liability Act 3.2-6200 through 6203, 2008, as amended, which state in part: “”(i) the propensity of an equine to behave in dangerous ways which may result in injury to the participant; (ii)the inability to predict an equine’s reaction to sound, movements, objects, persons or animals; and (iii)the hazards of surface or subsurface conditions. The waiver shall remain valid unless expressly revoked by the participant or parent or guardian of a minor, in writing, with receipt acknowledged by a representative of Equestrian WISH.

Furthermore, with this waiver, I expressly assume the risk of injury or death due to negligence by Equestrian WISH, their agents, Property owner, employees, volunteers, members, officers, directors, and staff, for my own safety or for the safety of my minor child.
